Our basement solution involved relocating the mechanical systems to the crawlspace which freed up floor space for a rec room, laundry, a new full bathroom, storage, and a tool room. We also even found a nice little space for a computer desk under the stairs.
Our basement design brought the typical LivCo level of creativity by exposing some of the existing structure while burying ductwork, lighting, and mechanical systems within thoughtfully designed soffits. The stair was given a makeover including new wood treads and a cable railing. The home is now exponentially more usable for this fantastic family, and has a fresh and modern feel to all of the new spaces.
